Before you begin, you need to install Gnome Tweak Tool, a utility that helps change and manage themes and icon packs on Ubuntu 22.04. If you haven’t installed it yet, simply run:
Once installed, open Gnome Tweaks to easily manage your desktop’s appearance.
1. Flat Remix – Minimalist with Depth
Flat Remix brings a modern look with a flat design, subtle shadow effects, and harmonious colors. I particularly like how this theme uses gradients to create depth while maintaining a clean aesthetic.

Install the Flat Remix ICON suite on Ubuntu 22.04:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniruiz/flat-remix
sudo apt update
sudo apt-get install flat-remix (or) sudo apt-get install flat-remix-gnome
Install Flat Remix theme:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniruiz/flat-remix
sudo apt update
sudo apt install flat-remix-gtk
Remove flat-remix themes and icons:
sudo apt-get remove flat-remix-gkt (or) sudo apt-get remove flat-remix
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/daniruiz-ubuntu-flat-remix-jammy.list
sudo apt update
If you love a flat design but still want depth and modern colors, Flat Remix is worth considering.
2. McMuse – For macOS Enthusiasts
McMuse-circle features rounded, colorful icons inspired by Numix Circle but with tweaks to resemble macOS. If you love macOS aesthetics but prefer Ubuntu’s power, this icon pack is perfect for you!

Install McMuse on Ubuntu 22.04 or Linux Mint:
sudo apt install git
cd /tmp
git clone https://github.com/yeyushengfan258/McMuse-circle.git
cd McMuse-circle/
./install.sh
After installation, open Tweak Tool to select the McMuse icons.
Uninstall McMuse:
sudo rm -rf /home/$USER/.local/share/icons/McMuse-circle*

Install Arc Theme:

Uninstall Arc Theme:
sudo apt-get remove arc-theme
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge arc-theme
I personally like using Arc Theme combined with Papirus icons for a polished and cohesive look.

Install Papirus Icon Theme on Ubuntu 22.04:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:papirus/papirus
sudo apt-get update

Uninstall Papirus Icon Theme:
sudo apt remove papirus-icon-theme

- Use Gnome Tweak Tool to apply the Ant Themes look and icon set.
